Head removal for stuck glow plug - any other maintenace
So, 3 out of 4 glow plugs were replaced without too much hassle. One snapped off at the tip. I've tried usemng a tip removal kit but no luck.

So it looks like I'll be taking the head off to drive it out from inside.

..It's a 2010 2.4 with under 60k on it. I got it from a a local council who had destroyed the service history but assured me it had been properly serviced and maintained as per land rover schedule which I'm inclined to believe. My question is this:
As the head is off ill renew the head gasket and seal kit. Is there anything else I really should do/replace anway? if I'm going to the effort of getting all this off?

Thanks

Valve stem oil seals and a good clean. You might want to put a new inlet manifold on if the egr is still in place. For just under £50 for a pattern part it’s not worth cleaning and replacing. The head to manifold seals plus the rubbers on the bolts become soft with time allowing the manifold to lift. Then blank the egr and map it out.
