Sliding Floor - Kitchen
I wanted a sliding floor to build a kitchen upon.

12mm ply - Wood will have an access hole in it to get at the lower boot cavity.

Donor floor (now modified as too wide) came from a Dodge Nitro

top of floor will have a wipe clean surface bonded on.

Small gap under sliding floor and new wood floor, for slide out drawer ...... but that is for tomorrow....

I decided to take out the expanded foam in the boot, is does come out in one and with very little trouble.

Installed the sliding floor with 3-way fridge, and 2x 'Flip Boxes'

Cut an access hole in the replacement boot floor, (its cavernous)

floor extend out of the boot, ready to cook.

Under floor drawers, only shown one, I need to get another Thumbs Up

The foam (expanded polystyrene) holds the jack and wheel brace. Also one quarter is an under floor storage. May be sound deadening ?

Total waste of space.

Looking great. What is the storage shelf you have at the top of the boot space? Can’t quite see the detail but looks useful. L663 D300 SE MY22.

The storage space in roof is to stow an umbrella, poles for the roof top tent and a 'stick fire extinguisher'

Made from the top of an old dog guard frame with mesh.

I like the shelf. I've thought of doing something similar but having seen yours I think I'll have to emulate.

You've certainly made the boot more usable. One thing I miss on my D4 is sitting on the split tail gate. I think a sliding floor will give me something similar.
