Very nice. Bit of a 180 from a Vantage. My previous car to my defender, whilst not in the same league as your Aston, was an Audi S5 with the 4.2 V8.

Been a little while since I’ve updated this! Basically just after I bought it.
I’ve done quite a few jobs to get it up to scratch. The boost pipe went pop on a dual carriageway, then waited 6 hours to be rescued. Had a stage 1 remap, ordered some new wheels and tyres, changes the steering wheel so I can turn right with the window closed, soundproofed everything apart from the roof, sealed it underneath, added steps, added JW Speaker headlight (love these), taken the back seat brackets out so it’s more comfortable in the back. Added a cubby, under cubby storage, fixed the speakers, actually bolted in the passenger seatbelt, repainted the bed. Before I owned a Land Rover I hadn’t done much more to a car than top up the screen wash. Love this thing. Photos of it being put to work, cleaned and then broken. Bonus Bowler I saw in the wild. I spoke to my Land Rover specialist and he suggested lannoguard, that’s what he used for his collection of land rovers.
What I did was ignore that, and use waxoyl. The Lannoguard was very sheepy! |

Don’t see that many living as long as defenders!
I presume all the sheep have had the lanolin squeezed out of them by now. Maybe I should try mint sauce, much prefer the smell. |
