Well I have started on my Range Rover Classic project
I have started by removing the body from the chassis. My plan is to send the chassis away to be galvanised and then do a nut and bolt rebuild So here are a few pictures of today's progress.... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Hopefully tomorrow I can get the axles off and strip the chassis down so I can send it away for blasting 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton Last edited by grafty99 on 30th Nov 2017 9:43pm. It is lovely to have the room to work in. However it is the workshop for our campsite so it is a shared space. Which has its frustrations 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

great start there George! I do love a good rebuild! What is the shell and interior like? Hard to believe that these are worth a few quid, but they are peanuts when needing work. My dad said they are a fortune to fix too, I thought these are practically defender underneath the shell. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Shell not great, interior near mint. Needs headlining retrim. I have two vehicles to choose parts from. Both vehicles are vogue se.
Underneath they are very very similar to a defender. The axles are the same. I bought the donor one for 1100 a couple of years ago and the green one (pics below) has been handed down from my mum and dad. Here is how the green one was last year cleaned up. Rear shell good front shell poor. As for cost of fixing I'm not sure as I haven't started yet! Great work, I admire someone willing to take on such a restoration, very talented! LSK reg looks familiar, but can't think why? James

As the Range Rover pre-dated the 90/110 by around fifteen years, it's fair to say that Defenders are mainly Range Rover underneath Darren
