Wiring harness for Alpine ilx705 problem

Hi

I am in the process of installing the Alpine ILX705 double din stereo, new fascia etc. I have purchased the Connects2 wiring harness to suit according to model etc. I have removed the old harness which uncoupled easily but as soon as I try to insert the new harness it doesn't want to know. I have compared new to old and all the blades are in the correct locations and the shape of the connectors is correct.

I wondered if anyone else had struggled with this part of the install and whether you used the Connects 2 harness also (CT20LR06).

Any help appreciated

I fitted the ILX-705 recently. I just used the harness that was behind my original single Din pioneer. No problems at all.

Problems lie trying to get the

into the dash with the miles of cabling.

Patience and calmness required..

Thanks for that, I managed to get the Connects harness to engage with the original socket in the end, a bit of fiddling with the blades sorted that.

You are right about getting the fascia back on. Just spent an hour fiddling with it and no joy so far. I'll try again another time!!

Did you take the metal bracket out before you did yours?
