Just ensure they’re Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) marked, in France at least “ordinary” M+S tyres - like wot I currently have - won’t be acceptable from 1 November 2024.

A quick look on My Tyres shows very limited choice these for 3pmsf rated tyres for 16” Defender. Of the ones there, the Cooper would be my choice, but it’s more of an all-season than a pure winter I think. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
