Hi everybody,
I´m thinking about putting a water temperature gauge in my (Disco) TD5. A good position for placing the sensor seems to be near the "Elbow-Water Out" (ERR7097). As far as I´ve seen there are two options for mounting the sensor: The first one is using a very stylish TD5 Coolant Housing by goreproducts (see https://goreproducts.com/products/td5-coolant-housing), the other one would be an inline adapter like this one: https://www.ezt-autoteile.de/zusatzinstrum...arz?c=7542 The "Elbow-Water Out" (ERR7097) is identical in Defender and Discovery TD5, so I think the diameter of the top hoses has to be the same on Defender and Disco TD5 (Disco hose: PEH101080), even if the hose itself is a bit different. I prefer the inline-solution, it is available in various diameters - does someone know the inner diameter of the top hose in the ellbow connection area?? Thank you ![]() Greetings, ![]() Defender 110 Puma 2.4 |

The Madman sender is a 38mm ID in-line hose adapter. I have mine sitting between the radiator and left-hand bend in the top hose. It is a good place IMO
