Double din fascia
Afternoon all

Does anyone know if this ‘surround’ (highlighted yellow) pops out to allow for a double din head unit?

Or would I have to buy one of these from Mud for example?

Cheers

If I remember, its not quite the same size, and is basically made of the thinnest plastic known to man, so even if you made it fit, the stress would probably snap it anyway.

The MUD ones I can highly recommend, they are expense, but much better quality if you are fitting a double DIN unit

Correct the yellow marked insert is not DIN2 it is some other unknown size. It can be removed and replaced with I believe a storage tray instead. It is clipped in and has some extra securing with metal clips.

As per Joel's comments you need to buy a new (aftermarket) total front. Not cheap unfortunately but easy enough to get and change

Note that there are three tabs at the top which are screwed down and you need to remove your dash top to access. Easy enough and it will never sit right without the top tabs. There are two bottom screws as well.

Also note that the switches sit in a separate frame which you probably need to change over to the new frame. It is screwed in. Do not screw that up as it can not be purchased separately.

You can buy that switch frame from MUD, but it's £60 which is eye watering. Just don't break the original
