What security did the MP have??
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy68ynn452zo

Steady trickle of Defenders stolen in Hampshire and Dorset. Multiple visible and hidden security measures needed sadly Sad Sold the much modified 110 2.8, in Oz
Brought the 90 home from Switzerland ...

Another one taken from a station car park. What's the betting he parked it there regularly?

I thought all Defenders were fitted with factory trackers?

We've had quite a few vehicles over the years where I've found manufacturer trackers located behind interior panels.

Looking through the Gap IID there seems to be some telemetrics options selected on mine (from factory) so I assumed this was LR gps tracking as standard?

A Faraday bag/pouch/box is something I swear by, and keyless entry is disabled on all our cars. I know a lad who managed to disturb a car with two fellas in who were trying to clone his van keys. They drove off when he went outside but the AA needed to come and re-program his immobiliser as it was scrambled.

We wanted an SVR but as they get pinched all the time the available insurance premiums were off-putting.

A real shame, that’s a nice looking Puma.

As Blackwolf infers, unfortunately it’s very risky to regularly park a classic defender in a car park, especially a station carpark.

PS. Interesting that the BBC call it a vintage landrover defender, when it’s a 2014 Puma, so only 10 years old

Ah sorry, I didn't read the article. Maybe a recovery company stole it on a flatbed and no-one batted an eyelid Razz
