Hello all, I need a new front bumper, looks like it’s been dinged and has a crease and the end cap is almost touching the lower wing so narrowly avoided body damage, it’s got LED lamps in the sides between the end cap and number plate,
My question, as I’ve been out of all things Defender related for a while, where I can I get a good replacement ? Good quality that’ll fit without having to start drilling and filing it down ? Thanks and it’s good to be back ! 😂 DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN |

When I come to change my current one I will be getting one of these
https://uproar4x4.com/collections/stainless-steel-front-bumpers I've already had a normal one rusted, and the current replacement is heading that way, once they get a few stone chips etc. Pricey for sure but nothing but good reviews. |

Can't go wrong with the standard one from Uproar 4x4
https://uproar4x4.com/collections/stainles...ont-bumper It looks stock when in the Satin finish and looks as good now 5 years on as the day I got it. Mind you, the £ have gone up! ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Ditto on the Uproar stainless in satin. I've had one on my DC for a couple of years and it still looks new.

I also bought an Uproar front bumper, slightly different shape.
It arrived well packaged and was easy to fit on my own with no help from anyone else!! Fitted the steering guard about 6 month later..... ![]() |

Uproar all the way. Treated mine to stainless steel bumper, headlight surrounds and grill.

I love the uproar bumper with laser lights fitted. They are DRL’s plus high powered spotlights when you use high beam. But at £1049.99 my head overrides my heart and I have not gone for them.....yet

Another option from GRP4x4 , i’ve Chatted with them and they are made from 2.5mm 316 stainless steel and then powder coated.
The key point is the 316 grade stainless steel, this is truly corrosion resistant. 304 grade is what most ss bumper manufacturers use and is highly resistant to corrosion but not nearly as good as 316. Noting 316 is used on yacht fittings exposed to salt ! https://grp4x4.com/product-category/bumpers/ |

pity other manufacturers don't use the same materials, this was on the car for about 5 years, and covered less than 4000 miles

That pic above is worrying
![]() The Uproar items are beautiful and beautifully made - but expensive (worth it if you gave the money). I copied LRA (I think) and got a galvanised std bumper (circa £60?). I applied T wash, etch primed and a top coat of satin black. Looks ok to me and has lasted well. All for about £80 all in - but it was a while ago… |

they use power coating because it is cheap and looks good, but it sucks for long term rust protection as it seem to let rust creep underneath very easily.
Galvanized (or stainless) is the way to go.. |

![]() Click image to enlarge Twisted's offering has also moved on in that 5+ years as their bumpers are now zinc coated aluminium to prevent these levels of corrosion. I appreciate your experience may not have been great with that bumper but a little unfair say it's a shame they don't use high quality materials. Lessons have been learned and products improved. |

I don't think the statement is unfair as the Twisted price was more than double the other even without the DR's, I should have realised with the difference in weight, the Twisted was about half the weight of the old one.
