Rover Recaro Vitesse Seats (fitted)
Not sure if these will be as controversial as my grill 😉 but just got my classic Recaros fitted on the passenger side. The bolt pattern is about 2cm off the defender so I had to make a new subframe to fit them to the defender runners. But they work a treat and only cost £260 from eBay …

I think it's safe to predict that those won't be as controversial as the grille, they look as though they were intended to be there.

I imagine that access to the lockers is tricky?

Well, yes. But only tricky in that you need to remove the 4 bolts that bolt the runners to the seat box, so less immediate access but time will tell how much of a pain that is in reality.

Well I’ve only got one in so far … and I had to slightly butcher the frame due to a seized bolt - but if you’re in Lincolnshire you’re welcome to them when I’ve finished.

You seem to be a very nice person who puts the passenger´s convenience above his own! Thumbs Up
Your taste in front grille design on the other hand, well, hmm… Wink

You may find leg amputation necessary in order to fit under the steering wheel!

I hope not. Will let you know once the drivers side is in ..- they are pretty much exactly the same height as the standard seats, just wider.

They do look like they were meant to be 👍

Great job.

If you put your original grill back on we will all forgive you 🤪

I think it would be fair to say that it has divided opinion.

Honestly the grill is good!

But I’ll take the nice comments in the seats.

😝🤪
