So I got myself an activity key/watch and fortunately the dealership hadn't given me my second key yet so they could code it into the vehicle.
I have now had it for about two months and to be honest I am a little concerned about using it especially in some of the very remote places I go to like in two weeks I will be approx. 1400kms deep in the bush away from help. If the activity key doesn't work for some reason, what are the options to get into the Landy and moving again? I use mine semi-regularly and have never had any issues so far.
My understanding is that the internals are pretty much the same as a normal remote, so shouldn’t be too much of a concern, though obviously you need to take care of the touch screen. Make sure you charge the battery too, it’s nothing like a normal remote. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
