I now have 2 keys
I assume lots of people know this but for general information comms are out to issue second key. Received text message, made appointment with dealer, they ordered new key, then took about 30 mins for them to code key while I waited. Also received letter with same info …… after I had got the second key.

How long have you had to wait for it?

Got the letter for mine, picked up the car in July 22, seems around 8-9 months wait. Shame I sold the car back to the dealer last weekend. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I got my letter today. Phoned my local dealer and they are pairing my car on Friday. Been waiting since mid July 22.

Almost had mine. When they tried to program it they found out LR sent them some Japanese keys. I went home with one key again.

Wow and there is me thinking that buying a car with only 1 key available and having to go through the hassle of getting a second key programmed in is one of the downsides of buying cheap second hand cars

I bought a new Toyota once and had to go back to the dealer (take time off, 1 hr round trip, wait etc) 3 times to fix issues AND had to get it serviced by them.

Made me realise buying new is a very fleeting experience, and really not worth it (to me obviously).

I personally like to buy new as I’m trying to keep my cars for 10 years or even more and I like the feeling of putting every kilometre on it myself but logically you’re absolutely right. It doesn’t make sense to buy new. The problem is when no one buys new anymore there won’t be second hand cars to buy, am I right? Very Happy

Hope they’ll get the European keys soon. Having 2 keys gives you such a good feeling that no one should miss…. Welcome to the 2020s

Lucky guy. Hope it lasts longer than the key chains they give you to the car.
