Alive Shocks for DC.
Hi
Looking for shock absorbers to replace mine on the 110 DC.
Standard DC spring set up.
Driving is General, fully loaded and ‘overland’ use.
Looking at options and note Alive have an in house option- anyone have these?
Expensive, though.
Can’t find any review of them.
Otherwise OME or Bilstein B6.

Thanks for sharing any thoughts.

Rob

I run Koni on my 110DC seem to be OK for me, but the rears rotted away before any problems with leaking or loss of function Shocked

I’m sure many will disagree, but for me Alive suspension is for fast road driving (I don’t really understand fast road and Defender. But that’s me). OME is for Overlanding, off roading, and loading up.

OME on my 3 Defenders as I use them for what they were designed.

Thanks for replies.
I’ll check out the specs for OME for my DC.
I spoke to Alive, and think I am correct in saying that their shocks sit between fox’s and B6’s.
Still a lot of money, though

I think the term it used to describe the drive you get from the suspension setup. If you are using mostly on the road then the Alive setup is superb. However if you drive for a large part off road then the Alive setup which is mostly about going round corners and comfort would not be for you.

For me the road setup has transformed the 90 having done the 2” lift stuff for Morocco. I now mainly am on the road and appreciate the nicer ride and handling the setup gives. Not to say that it has really impacted what I do on our farm either.

For towing (on road) though I find the road setup is brilliant.
