Is it the grey 110 in your gallery and is it still VAT registered?

Sadly i think the prices are starting to drop ...i really hope you get the price you are after but i think the days of a 35000 for a ten year old defender are now gone!

I personally don’t see the prices dropping that much..
There may be a dip short term, but not long term. They’re too versatile. You can do what you want to them. Make them fully electric etc. Prince Philip’s is an exception - but someone’s just paid over £100k for a 59 plate 110 XS. I think unmolested examples will hold good money. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

I hope you are wrong lol.Mines is not the cheapest but not the most expensive I have looked at . Time will tell I suppose . Only selling as I need a vehicle to drive into Glasgow city centre with the stupid ULEZ laws coming in .I bought this with the intention of keeping for ever .

It’s the ULEZ that will drop the N1 commercial registered defenders values. But long term when electric conversions get cheaper etc, Defenders will always be in demand. IMO of course. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

I think you may be right . But a lot of owners will want to keep original etc . Not everyone affected by the rules so will be using outwith cities . If I had room I wouid be keeping it.

I really hope you get your price!I think eventually these new inner city rules will be expanded and spread out across huge areas of the country making driving a defender a luxury most people will find uneconomical.
I personally don't want to sell my defender but if i don't find a way to fit some sort of suspension seating my crumbling back will force a sale....I however will be very happy if i get what i paid for mine and will be more concerned to pass it on to somebody who will treasure her like i do rather than make a huge profit. your sale could be a barometer of prevailing prices so please let us know how you get on!Defenders are unique and there will always be buyers (i hope) willing to pay a premium for a good example and i hope that never ends. |

But we really can't say: "Doh, I didn't see that one coming...", can we?
Luckily (luckily?), mine's 12 years old and doesn't owe me anything, when eventually it does have to go because of emissions restrictions I'll just be thankful for anything I get for it. But I fear that'll be sooner rather than later... Peter |
