It’s not the wheel nuts that came loose and let the wheel go. It was failed stub axle or more likely wheel bearing as in the clip you can see the brake disc is still attached to the inside of the wheel. Won’t be helped by those wheels sticking out so much.

The wheel adds insult to injury by bashing into the only straight panel left on the car!
Just goes to show no matter how sensible you are / drive sh17 happens.... |

I have seen something very similar 23 years ago, when we were coming back from holiday, We were approaching a large a rounder about, ready to go right, and a car towing a caravan on the other side of the road, was turning onto the main road, we were on. They had just moved off and then the wheel from the caravan just went its on way, It bounced off the kerb and went a good few feet in the air. Lucky it never hit a car, at all.
