YRM Metal Solutions 2nd Row Footwell to Rear Floor Upstand

Colleagues,

The YRM care package has finally arrived and I drilled out the rivets that were visible holding the footwell. Could it be that there are also some spotwelds in place?

When taking a closer look from the bottom, I think to see that the footwell is somewhat sandwiched and glued in. Might I ask how you wiggled the old part out to fit in the new replacement? I was thinking of using the angle grinder to cut away the front and then deal with the bottom part afterwards, but if its sandwiched I'm not sure if this would work as intended?

2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Keswick Green

There shouldnt be anything there to 'sandwich' it. The rear floor sits on top of it and is spot welded to it so your method of removal sounds like it should work
