It does sound rather nicely throaty doesn’t it? But my 20 hours old one is also exceptionally quiet at normal cruising speed compared to the D240. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I've read that the underseat subwoofer (if so equipped) does indeed pump engine sounds into the cabin. I have a p300 and noticed it is a bit throaty with a heavy foot but whisper quiet otherwise -- might have to thank the speaker.

Yes there is a fake sound, at least in the P300 / P400e - I had a bug where my speakers weren't working one drive and the engine was much quieter and less throaty Cheers, David

Yesterday I managed to get a friend to come over and help me out checking this out.
1st static car warmed up engine doors closed and I gave it a hefty push on the gas pedal - throaty sound very apparent on the inside, but also outside - swapped operators and confirmed it sounds as good outside as inside. Then we went for a 10 mile round trip on a local fast straight bit of road with traffic and a cycle race going on…… windows open and him listening - exhaust note was audible but also plenty of wind noise but throaty rumble still there on heavy acceleration. Conclusion - no fake noise present!
