2.2 injector oil seal change - parts?
I’ve been looking through the various threads here as I prepare to change my injector oil seals. I have dark oil/diesel sitting on top of the rocker cover around the injectors.

The 2.2 parts required seem a little different to the 2.4. For example, looking at the 2.2 vs 2.4 injectors electronic microfiche the 2.2 doesn’t seem to have the rubber o ring half way (ish) up the injector itself - all I can see is the copper seal at the base of the injector. Am I missing something?

Currently looking at:-
4 x injector seals
2 x clamp bolts (the one use, 7nm + 180degree clamping bolts)

What else am I missing to complete the job on a 2.2?

I have ordered the laser 6101 cleaning kit as recommended elsewhere.

Thanks,

Harry

Having completd the job, for a 2.2 you'll definitely need:-

LR032070 SEAL INJECTOR x4 £9.50ea
LR029962 BOLT x2 £ 2.76 ea

and you might want....

LR058092 GASKET CYLINDER HEAD COVER x1 £ 41.05 ea

LR037698G.TR GROMMET FUEL INJECTOR x4 £ 5.32 ea

I used genuine Landrover parts for the stretch bolts. seals and cylinderhead cover. I used OEM for the grommets around the injectors. My grommets were brittle and non sealing, so was pleased I'd ordered new replacements.

The cleaning kit was worth it. i also ordered a seal retrieval tool as I'd seen that sometimes these didn't come out with the injectors. only one seal stayed on the head, and the tool retrieved it first time.

My 2012 manual said 7nm +360degrees for the stretch bolts.

Might be worth double checking the final torque in the manual.
It’s been awhile since I removed and replaced mine, but seen to remember it’s was 7Nm then further rotation of 180 degrees.
I went for new injector clamps (2) and fuel spill O rings (4).
