All Black Side Steps
Can you order the steps without the cast silver edges? I have seen lots of used defenders with the genuine steps all black but can’t see anything in the config, are people just painting them?
Thanks Andy

You can’t get them of LR, but there are a fair few aftermarket ones available. Urban look pretty good.

Cheers Col, I can see some on autotrader that are all black and still have the defender logo, but cant seem to track them down. These and the X clear lights are the only mods I have planned. Andy

I took mine off and separated rubber tread off. Then got powder coated for £90. I left bars on for the 2 weeks it took, as didnt like just the brackets sticking out

Not too hard and would definitely do again

Perfect thanks. Are these fitted at the dealership? It would be cheaper for me to add them to the build rather than buy them separately and have them fitted after getting them coated? Andy

Hi mine were dealer fit, on reflection I would buy the aftermarket black steps which I’ve been told are good quality and less than half price
