Hi,
not sure if this helps but.. P228C refers to Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Exceeded Control Limits - Pressure Too Low It occurs when the PCM/ECM detects that the voltage in the regulator circuit is excessively below the normal parameter voltage. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses sensor inputs to electronically control the fuel pressure regulator and in turn the control module makes some adjustments to the battery voltage and ground signal of the regulator while the vehicle is running. A P228C code is set and stored when the PCM/ECM detects that the voltage regulator is not working properly and is not able to maintain the correct fuel pressure. Did you disturb any grounds or connectors when you replaced the fuel filter? |

Well, I’m checking for wiring issue now. Also Fuse F15 relates to the VCv I just figured out.
If nothing helps then the Fuel Rail Pressure valve is the next one - which to the contrary can be bought separately, e.g. EFI AUTOMOTIVE 1473507 B |

Update:
Really Strange now. Fuse F15 under the passenger seat was faulty-ish, only able to measure once-ish…. Plugged in again and the Motor Fault Symbol went of. Took a ride in up to fifth gear over 2000rpm… no issue. So after stop desired to replace the fuse. Tried to ignite the engine but dead. Fuse F15 gone. Replaced with a new one. Running again as above However, when i put in 6 gear and accelerate as with the 5th… the error code is back.. Remove and i can easily drive the 4/5 at 2200 for example where before the the code would go as soon as im above 1900…. Any suggestions??? B |
