Ext (Eng) sound enhancement
Just notice on my build sheet that this is called out as not included (less). Does that mean that some models enhance the engine sound in the cabin?! The reason I ask is that the engine on the 110 I test drove sounded amazing, but now sounds like that may have been artificially enhanced!

I think the V8's have sound enhancement but wasn't aware of it on other models but you never know it may be able to be turned on with an IID tool but I haven't really looked. Cheers Ian

Did the sound come from the engine bay or exhaust. Or was it from the speakers. The MINI I drove last year was bloody awful with fake engine sounds coming from the doors where you knee was.

No idea to be honest drumstick. It never even dawned on me that it could be enhanced, but it sounded a lot throatier that my wife’s D300 RRS, to the point that I remarked in it to the sales guy when we got back.

My exhaust note - is just that - listening carefully inside & outside there is nothing being 'played' through my speakers.
At lower revs - say up to 2000 rpm the note is very subdued - 'quiet'
Over 2000 prm particularly under load (pull) the note become far more pronounced - 'almost gruff'
I also can notice a small amount of supercharger whine/spool.

The RR supercharger has a valve that brings supercharger noises into the cabin (when needed). My Td5 has two of those operated by a manual lever, so that was included in my options list then.

In the US it is popular to have a remove 'release valve' upstream on the exhaust to create a remote operated exhaust leak to scare the girls.

The Audio System solutions are a little sad. But a bit like in 'the fast and furious' where they seems to be shifting gears manually continuously and out of sync with their motions, most people will not know or understand and just be in awe.

I was like that when I was 8 with my matchbox cars. Broom Broom, ah ignorance is bliss.

That’s interesting Gilesn. Which engine do you have?
