We needed to sell our existing VW Tiguan as the Defender is due the first week of next month. The LR dealer offered £34k trade in, WBAC offered £37,545, and Motorway set a minimum price of £37,878. Ended up getting £42,915 from Motorway!
Motorway was a simple process - so definitely worth a look if you need to sell something! |

The Motorway offer is the minimum, so you don't know what you'll actually get until the end of the day when they tout it out to their network. They did say we didn't need to accept the offer if we didn't want to as well...

Agree. Their offer on the CH-R was 21k but it came in at 18.4k and 18.9k and they were a little pushy for me to accept.
Carwow came in at 20.15k and when I said I couldn't be bothered for £140 or for matter of fact £500 they came back and offered £20.4k (which was £400 more than BMW) |

As explained, Motorway don’t provide an offer as they are not buying your vehicle. They set a reserve price for the auction and dealers bid above this price if they want to buy it. If your vehicle sells, Motorway put you in touch directly with buying dealer to arrange a pick up date, whereby all the details like condition etc. are agreed in person and they transfer funds. Simple but effective digital auction business.
The price you achieve is very much driven by demand at that moment of the auction and can naturally vary, I know from personal experience this can vary, by 7% in my case with an auction just 10 days apart. |

Also helps us that we're in this weird time where used cars haven't dropped the normal amount in their first few years of life!!

I sold my XC90 via Motorway. I got over £4k more than WBAC and £6k more than Carbase. Interestingly it actually went to a Volvo dealer.
