I miss my R53 Cooper S. Really fun car and perfect for most trips with my D4 as the family go to wagon.

To webuyanycar, I’ve sold my car To webuyanycar Bloody song Well I finally made the decision to let it go and stripped it bare. Lost a fortune Bailed out quickly so didn’t need to get it serviced and missed the New reg which will knock its value again. What to get next I’m looking at a D4 or FFRR TDV8 First Edition 90 in Pangea Green. (Gone) P400 110 in Tasman Blue. |

Blimey. That was quick!
I’m still debating about what to do but I’ve enquired about a 2016 D4 so who knows. 🤷♂️ |

On the boot space topic - The 110 with 7 seats is just as useless. You end up with identical space to the 90, but with 7 people's worth of luggage.. I always thought a roofbox was excessive for such a large car, but it soon fills up when you add a 6th person or a dog.
The jumpseat might have been the best way to go. |

Its amazing how close the D4 and new Defender are in size yet so different in packaging.
I wish LR had done to the D4 want Mercedes did to the G-Wagon. Click image to enlarge |

Good to read the comments on this thread. I've now done a few big family holidays in our 90, and I've been amazed at how much we can pack in. I have had to be more thoughtful about what to take, but it has always worked out.
The main challenge I have found is trying to get elderly people in and out of the rear seats. My mother in law effectively got stuck and at one point I considered trying to get her out via the boot. The front jump seat has been great (alongside the camera rear view mirror) and for carrying 5 plus a driver on short trips, it has been very useful. That said, I will be pleased to get the new FFRR delivered (whenever that happens). |

For me the rear door and boot are a compromise that I'm struggling with. I also don't think its worth its money, but then what is?

You'll have to buy something American to get 7 full sized adults with 7 large suitcases. Even the 130 or LWB FFRS won't do. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |

My XC90 had good boot space when the 7 seats were up.
Great car, maybe I was rash to sell it. |
