Insulation replacement for acoustic engine cover?
Mice have chewed through the insulation of the acoustic engine cover...

Any advice on what product to get that would be an upgrade to what was in there? I assume it would have to heat resistant etc..

Thanks a lot. 1999 Defender 110

Just buy another off fleabay, plenty on there around the £20 mark.

You can use spray foam insulation…. Wrap the motor top (valve cover) with cling wrap, spray the foam where you need it on the cover, put the cover in place… it'll dry quickly. Remove. Trim the excess off and use it.

Or… find a used one on the bay of flea!

I replaced mine with a lead lined blanket from Noise Killer... tucks down the back, and seems to deaden the noise pretty well.

Might be worth speaking to this company.
