Hi
(Not sure of the protocol of listing separate items, apologies - but I wanted to list things in the title) This is a rear storage box, made by 'barebox' who stopped trading after a bit. The pics say it all really - a black powder coated box, shaped to sit on top of the wheel arch, with two radial type locks. I did have this fitted for a bit, but as with the window guards in my other post, I've gone for gullwing windows, and this box isn't really compatible. I paid £100 + postage. Looking for £70 + postage. I've had to compress the pics because of my poor broadband upload, so hopefully the sizes on the 'post it' are still legible. If not, it's 81cm x 28 x 34.5 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I'll be away from home over the weekend, though keeping an eye on the forum. Please post here, and then PM if you're interested. I should be able to pack and post early next week. Hi,
I'm away from home till tomorrow evening so I'm afraid I can't weigh it to get a reasonably accurate idea. I'll do that when I get back and let you know? Bumpity bump - with first dibs to West 4x4 if still interested.
It took ages to get here because I've been busy, but also our bathroom scales are those 'bare feet' jobs - so you get the idea - bare feet in the garage, holding a heavy thing.... Anyway, I reckon postage via Hermes/Evri will be in the £10-12 mark depending on where exactly a buyer is. I used the Penzance post office postcode - to try and get as far away from me as possible! If you're nearer than Penzance, then £10 should do it. Hi Tom,
Yes it is. All wrapped up and ready to go. I was just about to pop it on ebay so if you're interested then it's "just in time". Hi Tom,
I guess you could fit this any way you wanted. When I had it in temporarily (I didn't want to drill my wheelarches until I was sure) I had it fixed by a ratchet strap from the capping to the end of the C pillar. That said I think the intention is that you drill both the box and the wheel arch - precisely what I've done to fit the wing cages that I'm using instead of this. At the moment there are no holes in the bottom of the box, so you could suit yourself -choosing the locations you would like. I don't know what era vehicle you have, but this is designed for the earlier 'squared off' wheel arch, not the 'stepped' one on the later vehicles. (edit - just looked at the truck in your photo gallery - you'll have no issues with this). If you want to take it further then please ping over a PM. Any more questions, then please ask away.
