Since the last OTA update I've noticed this happening much more frequently too. I've change the battery but it hasn't resolved the problem Current: MY22 P400e SE

Finally my Defender spent one week for nothing at the dealer where the interior of the car has been disassembled completely for checking all connectivities.
Due to poor communication with JLR UK, the info required for the dealer came after the car was dismantled.
The story is that the activity key has always to be accompanied with at lat 1 fob in the car.
While using the activity key outdoors , the fob has to remain in the car and it is being automatically disconnected for as long as you are outside the car with the activity key at your wrist.
When re entering the car, you have to present the fob under the the steering column in order to deactivate the activity key and reactivate the fob.
This procedure seems to me a weakness for a car of that level of sophistication and hopefully JLR will work on this point quickly.
