We had an A R letter delivered today (French signed for) - normally means bad news but I saw the LR script at the top and after following Payney's dedicated mission with the axle fault, I thought wow here's some French efficiency, they want to inspect my axle even though I am well outside of the affected range.
But no, P022 transfer box oil leak into parking brake! Mine is a 2007 110 with about 250,000 km and must be on its third seal, once when it leaked at 4 years old and then anytime I've pulled the drum off to do a clutch. Don't really want to lose it into a dealer, especially the inept one at La Rochelle who don't know what defender is, so does anyone know if I can just reply its been done already thank you? Cheers Keith |

I did that to a bmw a few years back that had an airbag recall (turned the car into a race car so no airbags present) they just crossed me off the list. Don’t know if France is the same (this was when I was in the uk) Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |
