90 station wagon - rear seat brackets
Having a nightmare trying to find seat brackets for my 90 (as per pics). Purchased the car and the owner gave me the seat base and backs but without any brackets or seat belts. Does anyone know where I can get these as it seems harder than I imagined....

I wanted to get the rear seats test fitted before doing the Soundproofing and rear carpet install so it's holding up plans somewhat...

Any help appreciated 👍🏻

There are no additional brackets required for the seats other than perhaps some spreader plates for the underside of the seat box. The two brackets on the rears of the seat bases are bolted down through the top of the wheel boxes. The brackets on the backrests are bolted to the side rails of the tub.

I suspect that if you offer the seats up, you'll see the original holes.

Seat belt arrangements have changed a bit over the years. On earlier vehicles they were just bolted to the tub with spreader plates below. Later, a rail was introduced that incorporated brackets fixed to the chassis. I think the changeover was 1995, so yours should be the latter. LR Workshop is great for diagrams that show these sorts of details, e.g. https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...seat-belts. Darren

Hi, you didn't mention if you've got the part numbers you've looking for.
LR Worshop is a great source for part numbers,

Yeah that site has been brilliant for getting the numbers, I tried a few places today seems you can still get the back rest brackets but not the seat base brackets so not ideal! Neutral

They do not seem to be that difficult to reproduce. Perhaps find a fabricator, but you would need someone who have them and willing to measure them up for you. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I have a set of 4 from a 99 110, but the rear brackets look different from the drawing and I am based in Paris so probably not worth it with Brexit and all. I took some pictures so you have an idea what it looks like. There is also a whole seat belt bar.

Not sure how to add pictures but just look at my gallery they are there

If you search ebay for 'defender td5 rear fold down seats' a few sets are up for sale with the brackets your looking for.
