If you obtain a new or used Engine ECU (PCM) you will need to program it to your current vehicle spec inc VIN, injector codes and also pair and communicate with your Instrument cluster and alarm ECU (10AS or more likely ALM) etc. To do so you will need LR diagnostic tools or something like a Gap IIDTool.

But, since the IMMO is off in the PCM, it will not require a signal..... Puma 110" SW

BAS do an immobiliser delete from a 2.4 but I can’t see one for a 2.2 https://bellautoservices.co.uk/store/immob...-puma-2-4/
For the 2.4 BAS state “After the immobliser is removed you may be required to make some small modifications to your cars starter relay wiring to enable cranking on the starter motor, without giving the starter relay coil a perminant GND the car may not crank over when you turn the key and so needs to be done in most cases for a complete solution .” You will need to check the wiring diagrams for the 2.2 to confirm it’s the same. You will still need to do the engine ECU programming to your vehicle and it will need to be able to converse with the instrument cluster via the CAN bus. However with he immobiliser delete then the communications between the 10AS and engine ECU won’t be needed. |
