Will be driving to Obergurgl this winter and seems that Austrian law requires the carriage of snow chains (and I suppose they may also come in handy!)
I've never used chains before so don't have much knowledge. Has anyone found any good ones for the new defender? Ideally some that pack up nice and small-ish and obviously fit big tyres! I guess I only need 2 (for the front wheels) Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Don't know about Austria but here in France they mandated all drivers have to carry snow chains in all departments that are in, or border, mountainous areas. However, offload / all terrain tyres that are snow rated are acceptable as an alternate provided they carry the 3PMSF mark, so check your tyres first!
