Got a problem with the electronic lock of the tailgate, did make a bypass Yesterday for an extra release switch.
Everything connected it did click.
Tailgate accidentally closed before proper testing, doorhandle switch does nothing now...
My 90 is converted to an Hardtop/ Commercial with full bulkhead, no way to get in.
So I have to find out who can help me with the powerful modification to enable the Tailgate switch on our FOB.. CCF ,see below

Any help or insights are very appreciated, before I have to make an manhole in the Bulkhead.

I am picking up my Defender in Torhout, Belgium next week - likely Thursday or Friday. It is a 2 hour drive for you, but I would be able to make the CCF modification for you. The only problem is, as we are still in beta with our IIDTool software, this setting has only been confirmed for 2020 Defenders. You wrote that you were driving your Defender for 19 months in your first post in this thread at the beginning of November. So I assume you have a 2021?

Absolutely gorgeous color, btw. Mine is Carpathian... Not my first choice.

Hope you get the tailgate sorted. Must be really frustrating. I'm going to fit the internal release from Powerful in the new year so will take note.

As for the colour, its fantastic. I'm so tempted to do the same thing but I think my wife might notice Laughing

I might have to rethink the Christmas present to respray agreement ratio. Laughing

Thanks Steve, much appreciated.

My 90 is one of the first batches that rolled out of the factory, build date 11 Dec. 2020.
But it is a model 2021 with keyless entry. So this has to be sorted out before digging into the CCF.
I'am planning to buy the IIDtool too, awaiting on the release after the beta testing.
Visited my local dealer Yesterday, they would look at it next week, no promises made on forehand to solve this.

I'am afraid coming close to make an manhole behind one seat to reach the load space in the rear... Crying or Very sad No Mud flaps for my 90.!

Don't cut the manhole. Laughing
We will get it worked out. You might have to purchase your IIDTool more quickly than anticipated.

BTW, we are reworking our distribution system thanks to Brexit. If you (or anyone else in mainland Europe) is interested in purchasing an IIDTool, send me a PM or send a mail to support @ gap - diagnostic dotcom. It could make a bit of difference in the end price. And before everyone in the UK gets upset: prices in mainland Europe have been considerably higher than in the UK since the beginning. Brexit has only made this worse, not to mention delays in customs, etc. Our distribution partner for the UK is and will remain Allmakes. We did increase our prices just a little for the first time since introducing the IIDTool recently... sorry.

Finished
Managed to get the bulkhead at the underside loose, enough to get in.
This involved first to remove the front seats and the middle console.
Repaired my bypass at the wireloom of the Tailgate release switch. So everything back to original.
Sparetire mount reinstalled, sparetire back on.
Everthing reinstalled in the cabin,front..

Mud Table back on.

Final finishing, new outer weatherseals on the doors, airbag decals b pillar and on the inside tailgate warning label.
Outside the Union Jack decals replaced.

Everthing working fine, no fault codes or rattles.

Awesome job! That looks fantastic Bow down

Have to agree with the other comments, some white steels would really set it off or keep the black wheels and wrap the roof black! Wink
