Some ‘Lyte’ entertainment/trivia…
Stumbled across this in my mum’s old toolbox. Most of her tools were her fathers. She’s 87 and still using her tools…

What is it? Well, the most common answer we’ve had is a ‘letter opener’ but I’m not convinced. Others have suggested some form of roofing tool/gauge (connection with ladders) and/or a dipstick of sorts…

Lyte Ladders are celebrating a big birthday this year, so my plan is to send them a couple of pics and pose the question.

In the meantime - any suggestions as to what ‘it’ is?

Cheers,

Will

I'm pretty sure that it is a promotional letter opener with a handy ruler built-in.

Thanks Blackwolf

That does seem the most common suggestion. It certainly looks like a letter opener, and given the age, that would be something that would typically be ‘given out’ as a complimentary gift.

The rule would certainly be a handy additional benefit.

I did think it’d make a handy dipstick to check coolant level's Rolling with laughter
