When I had my extension Flexi made i'm 99% sure they are PCL KF fittings
I've lost the invoice but a trip to a hydraulic / pneumatic hose makers should work out. https://www.pclairtechnology.com/couplings...e/kf-range Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |

I have the same inflator for my workshop compressor.
I use PCL XF fittings (they flow better than traditional disconnects. You could just get a female XF fitting with a 1/4” male end to screw into the inflator and fit an XF male fitting with a 1/4” male thread and screw it into the inflator. The issue is that the end on the spiral hose you have isn’t one I recognise and you might need a new hose to join the two with appropriate fittings. The fittings are also quite bulky so may be a bit of a lump to put on the side of your T-Max. There must be some more compact quick disconnects on the market. Alternatively, you could just buy a new spiral hose that comes with a 1/4” male end and screw it straight into the inflator and use your choice of disconnects for TMaxx to the other end of the hose. If you want a custom hose made with swaged fittings (more compact) then GTAir are quite cheap for custom stuff and are very DIY friendly. Come to think of it, you could probably just send the pictures of your current setup to them (think the guy’s name is Ryan) and get them to advise and supply whatever you need for a compact solution. |

I think the tmax fittings (assuming they are the same as the ones on my similar Durite unit) are 13KA series which is smaller than those PCL XF ones:

Thanks for your replies and info so far
It does appear that the T Max has the 13KA quick release fittings but the PCL tyre inflator requires an XF - they look similar but are different. It looks like I can get hold of the 1/4 PCL XF quick release fitting tomorrow which I can use on the tyre inflator (PTFE tape?) so I guess I can simply change one end of my ‘curly’ extension hose to a PCL XF and that should do it. I think… I shall let you know how I get on. Thanks 👍 |

Will you not risk dead heading the compressor with that inflator when trigger isn’t pressed? I don’t think the Tmax compressors can cope with that, they need air flowing out at all times. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

You are correct. There’s no stop solenoid on it.
No idea if someone clever here has retro fitted one such as you see on the ARB compressors. |

Thanks for this - I think you may be correct based on my limited understanding. Obviously that’s why I am asking those that know 👍 I’m going to hang fire until I am certain as I don’t wish to damage anything or introduce risk. Thanks for the feedback |

Crumbs - that’s great but far beyond the scope of what I am capable of!
Thanks for sharing 👍 I suppose that if I try and not be dazzled by the beautifulness of the PCL, what I really need is a replacement for the annoying brass threaded valve connection supplied with the T max! |

As a thought, as i have but i need the threaded connector because by adding a Presta adaptor i also use my twin Tmax to seat stubborn tubeless bicycle tyres.
How about using this ARB hose kit with all the fittings and a clip-on tyre valve connector. https://gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/product/arb-pump-up-kit-arb-171302/ I am sure i saw on another You Tube vid that that style of hose allows a greater airflow in comparission to the Tmax spiral style. Hope this helps |

I removed the Std t max output and replaced it with a 1/4male to 6mm push fit. Ran the 6mm pipe to a manifold. Pressure switch on manifold then pcl fitting. Manifold also runs lockers. Cheapest option for on board air. Cheers

If you Google “air chuck” there are many different designs. If you get one with a barb fitting, you can probably cut your old one of and secure the new one with a hose clamp. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Lots of great information and ideas - thanks guys
I think my first baby step of the revised plan is to do what Bluest suggested and go from there 👍 I’m still going to have a play about with other ideas. |

So they simplest is often best (that’s what my wife says convinced her to marry me)… Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I was possibly overthinking it, bedazzled by the PCL tyre inflator Notwithstanding I need to install a proper hose clamp to complete the job, that PCL air chuck is an absolute gem. Precise, secure, reassuringly fit for purpose |
