You either need to get a spanner on the grease nipple to rotate it a fraction or sometimes i find that fileing the sides of the grease gun end down a little to create 2 flat edges, will enable it to fit in easier.
The other way is to change the grease nipple for one thats has say a 45 degree angle instead of a 90. As its only on one prop try rotating the prop shaft round a little to see if in a certain position you can get on it 15 plate 2.2SW XS |

Join the club Steve
I posted on another thread about the exact same problem and somebody suggested the UJ's may have been installed incorrectly. I have tried rotating the prop, grinding flats on the connector - nothing. I am going to drop my front prop to see if I can grease it off the vehicle. Bob |

Am I missing something here? I finished greasing my propshafts just yesterday morning (ran out of grease Friday) and my nipples are straight! Couldn't have been done at all during service as they were coated in Waxoyl and required quite a lot of grease!
On my Disco I had to grind down the head of the gun to get it to fit because the nipples were between the UJs with very limited access. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! Last edited by K9F on 12th Oct 2011 4:55pm. This thread prompted me to do a pre winter lube. I've got a fine nosed flexi and can generally manage to get it on the 45's in the front prop. What ends did you order? Interesting to note by the undisturbed wax that none of mine were touched during its 1st service either, oh and I found both the front prop to pinion flange and rear prop to output flange joint nuts and bolts were not tight Steve.
