Hi everyone.
I'm in the process of preparing my Puma 90 for sale. The car is standard with the exception of the TMD Shift-R kit that I had just fitted. I'd prefer to be able to sell the car completely standard so plan to remove the kit and replace it with a factory one - this makes sense financially too as the new buyer is unlikely to pay extra for the shift-r. I've had the Defender off the road for a few weeks and in that time, I fitted the kit - drove it for 2 miles up the road and then back to the garage, just to check it worked (its very nice). It hasn't turned a wheel since. So the Shift-R is to all intents and purposes brand new, other than having been greased prior to install. So its up for sale with the supplied fixings. The catch is that my factory shift lever had the cracked plastic ball and I don't have an alternative. So, here's the offer. If you have a factory MT82 shifter that is in good condition (ideally from a lower-mileage vehicle with no splits in the plastic ball, we'll need to confirm this by photos beforehand) then I would be happy take it in part exchange for the shift-r kit. I'd be looking for £190 plus your factory gearlever. You can collect from Manchester or I can post it to you for an additional £5. If you really wanted to, you could fit it here on the driveway if you don't want to take your car off the road while you're waiting for it (its a 5 minute job as long a you move the gaitor/tunnel mat out of the way first). To read about the shift-r, see here: https://tmdtuning.com/shop/defender-short-shift-quick-shift/ ...or see any of the reviews on the forum. The current price from TMD is £270 + £10P&P = £280 I bought it in March, it sat in a box and then I fitted it at the end of September before making the tough decision to let the Defender go due to the amount of travel I'm having to do for work. So I believe it would be the latest version of the part. This of course means that your defender will be undrivable for a couple of days, I'm happy to post at this end as soon as I have both the payment and the proof of postage/photos of your shifter. I will send by next working-day Evri shipping. So, a bit of a mission - but a nice saving for someone willing to take it up. |
