It's not all bad news
There's always plenty of posts with tales of woe. Here's a good news tale.

I've just completed the NC500 in my 2015 110, fully loaded with roof tent. A total of 1900 miles with MPG from 25 - 30 depending on roads driven. A wide variety of weather and road conditions. Some off road on small tracks of gravel and mud, some light wading and lot of single track with passing places.

No problems at all.

Hello steveww

Good to hear and after all owning these vehicles is principally about getting to places like the NC500

Here's our 'just past the summit' photo on the Applecross Pass (2018)...
We went back for more earlier this year...(1700 miles, no issues)

Good luck with more 'good news tales' to come... Thumbs Up SKIP

Used to do work on phone masts and did most of the route twice a year, before it was a recognised route, dirty job but someones got to do it.

Brilliant to hear! Would love to see more photos. I am hoping to do this myself next year, so any top tops would be greatly appreciated! How many days did you spread it over? 😊

Bet that was something! Great picture.

I’ve had the run recommended to me countless times yet failed to get out and do it..

I'll write up some notes on the NC500 and put them in the Overland section. Stay tuned.
