Had an issue with the Big Larry Pro I’ve been using for around 8 months, it suddenly wouldn’t switch on.
Filled in the form on Nebo’s website on 1st October, got an email on 5th Oct saying they’d send a replacement, it arrived today! Fantastic! Click image to enlarge |

Should have added - it suddenly stopped working after I put a different 18650 battery in it, just because I didn’t have time to charge it.
Not sure if / why that would cause it to stop working, but won’t be doing that again. |

I’d never heard of this product but it appears to be very good.
My Sealey has served me well but is starting to show signs of age and deterioration - rather like it’s owner. Just seen the Big Larry Pro for circa £25 and thinking it’d be a worthwhile replacement. Should I take the plunge? |

Not taking anything away from the Big Larry torch as I am sure it's very good, but I recently purchased the Lidl Parkside torch of a similar ilk and I have been pleased with it.
It doesn't have the aluminium case as it's plastic, but the illuminating section swivels and the magnetic base is on a ball joint to allow further adjustment. The light is variable too. It does not have the red light or flashing option but I bought it for when working on the truck so wasn't worried about the flashing bit. It has been invaluable recently when fitting the rear crossmember. Being able to direct the light where I needed it as I contort under the truck has been really useful and whilst I am sure the flexible joint on the light may well be a weak point, it has certainly been a plus for that job. I can't tell you how long it lasts as I had a habit of forgetting I had left it switched on under the truck, but it has got 4 little led's to indicate its charge so I kept charging it before it ran out. Charging is vi's a USB cable but you don't get the charger. It was one of Lidls specials about four weeks ago, but they still have one or two left in my local store. I can't remember the price but I have been happy with it, plus it has the 3 year garantee. Please don't let me detract from the Big Larry lamp above, but this is just an option for the more budget buyers like myself. If I can find a price I will post it up. |
