Sounds good to me. Ive been down 5 times since 2006 and have covered quie a few miles. Do you use Garmin sat nav. If so there are some good free downloads for Mapsource which show lots of tracks, If it will be any good I will be able to send you the site details. May is a great time to see Morocco. After the rains every bit of ground seems to be laid in barley and as you travel south it goes from lush green to being harvested. However there is also the risk of heavey rain and flooding, but dont let that put you off, theres always a way around the problem.
Do you intend going due southish towards the desert or are you going down the west coast. Whats broken now ? |

Have a look at google earth on the left of the screen at the bottom there is a Tracks for Africa clicky thing. If you highlight it, it loads orange tracks. These tracks are tracks that people have actually driven. I'm not sure that they are downloadable But you could at least create your own route by hovering over the tracks and record the long lat.
If we go this year we plan to visit this on the coast 29°26'16.12"N 10° 7'22.96"W There are 8 of these Click image to enlarge |
