Had most winches over the years, and now run a Winchmax which has been fantastic, especially for the cost. Always works. Mine will sit for months and months doing nothing then have to work solidly for 2-4 days. The Winchmax has never missed a beat. Looks good, two wireless or wire remotes, synthetic rope, and can be bought with a Defender wiring kit.

Thanks all. I have pulled the trigger on a 2nd hand Superwinch ep9. I will strip it down and inspect it. It's not coming with a solenoid, rope etc. so will need to source those separately.
Did see a used Husky on ebay if anyone else was interested in that, seemed at a reasonable price. |

That's a good buy. Get a bow rite solenoid from goodwinch. Cheers

Yep that would do it. Bowrite has larger contact areas and better sealing same a GP ones. Cheers
