Nice, I wanted to do the same on my Fiji white but I have a black bonnet so it might be too much

Looks really smart, good addition I'd say, I've got a soft spot for white Defenders. Only thing to do now is move your steering wheel to the correct side and you've got the machine sorted!

Only thing I found is that all defenders I checked have an extra 5mm gap on the Left hand side. How can they all be out lol. Didn’t notice on my black 110 but on the silver one it bugs me |

Good job and looks well done... I'm heading in your direction too with our 110 which came to us 'stock'... having now lived with our 90 and its pre-installed checker plate wing tops they overall (IMO) are a practical modification... you effectively have two resting positions for 'stuff' which you wouldn't use without some sort of protection. Its probably the case that if you have these areas that you can stand on or use generally when out in the field then you will find uses without damaging your vehicle. I've also heard... very occasionally some owners even have to work on their trucks with tools involved

X4SKP, both of those are amazing! What a great setup. Yes I totally agree the wingtop protectors as super for resting tools on, I was literally doing it yesterday

... your 90 looks exceptionally good.
Not everyone is a fan of checker plate...but it could be worse, I still find it amazing that Land Rover installed plastic checker plate on non-flat surfaces for the New Defender it has taken the aftermarket suppliers to semi-correct this with alloy swap over parts. Checker plate is great for climbing on your truck it wet weather. Non slippy.
Hurts when you fall off even from that height. Perfect when you have a front opening roof tent. Other bonus is that it is a flat non combustible surface for the volcano kettle. Did you bonnet as well as it is makes a good platform for pruning trees. |
