[Swap] LED head light bulbs - Warm White for Cool White swap
I've got a set of these which were on my Defender for a few months until the MOT regs changed. They are excellent and have better illumination and beam shaping than a halogen H4. They are the Cool White version.

I'd like to swap them for the Warm White version so that they look more appropriate on my 101 which is pre-1986 so they are OK for MOT.

I wasn’t aware of any recent MOT changes relating to LED replacement headlamps (I am aware it is an MOT failure to fit LED bulbs to existing halogen headlights).

Has there been a change affecting the (retro)fitting of complete LED headlamps from an MOT perspective? I’m aware of the requirement to adhere to standards for LED headlamps that wouldn’t necessarily be picked up at an MOT.

LED bulbs are permitted on pre 1986 vehicles.

These are bulb replacements and hence permitted only on certain vehicles for MOT purposes. See link below for details:

The MOT does not fail CE marked LED headlights, but it does fail LED “bulbs” fitted in standard headlights designed and CE marked for using std bulbs if the vehicle is post April 1986

The OP is referring to the LED bulbs they have fitted to STD headlights on a post April 1986 vehicle.
