I saw that too. Looked ok. But for the £1500 they're asking I'd prefer a 270 deg awning with attached side walls for a bit less. Like this:

excellent work
I'll make some sidewalls for our rear tarp, too. I like how your rear wall is slanted towards the bottom, giving extra space. I think I'll steal that idea |

Click image to enlarge Fishing brolley, it works well, also cheap and easy to store. |

This is what I've ended up with. It's a generic tarp awning from https://stitchesandsteel.com/products/tarp...1202192430
I've attached an awning rail to the rear and side of the roof bars allowing me to put the awning up in either location. It's pretty quick and easy to put up. Just pull the bolt rope through the awning rail, pop up the telescopic poles and peg in the ropes. The awning material is very light weight so it packs down really small. Click image to enlarge |

That’s more or less exactly what I have in mind.
Shame they seem to be quite explicit about “no shipping!” and “assembly in our workshop” Donald 1994 Defender 300Tdi 110 SW - owned since 2002 - 230k miles and going strong (The 'rolling restoration' or tinkering thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic58538.html ) 2000 Range Rover P38 4.0L V8 in the past.. That's frustrating. You'll have to go on tour in Germany and get it fitted on the way down! TD5 hardtop to Puma inspired Poptop - my build thread

Is that for the rear tent, too? Because on the pricelist ist says "1590€" (cough) "plus shipping". Also for the tent there are two holes in the pop-top frame to slide the bars in. (the two small black holes on either side https://shop.ex-tec.de/de/space-tec-hubdae...auge.html) Maybe they want to fit that themselves? |

Our roof is Ex-tec & I’ve seen one of those canopies in the flesh. Nice bit of kit & very well made👍
If it weren’t for the fact you’ve got to store it somewhere I’d have had one.. |
