I need one single door hinge...but...
Is there a difference in door hinges?

I need one NSF upper hinge as the door has dropped.

Whats the general concensus on this - Can I just get a hinge from ebay or should I get a specifc LR hinge?

Thanks

The hinge you need is around £11 from Paddocks at the moment, don't forget you'll need to paint it Thumbs Up

My door hinge arrived...primed, painted with the colour as defined by the paint code, lacqured....but...

It looks like a different colour!

I guess the original paint is 13 years old but faded that much or is my colour off?

Your new paint looks closer to the body than the old hinge Confused Darren

As above I think the new hinge looks more like the car...

13 years of road grim and washes makes the other one look dull.

As aside couple of question as I think I need 1 on the passenger side top?

Are they easy to swap.

How did you paint? rattle can?

Thanks

Yes, disturbingly so, unless you have taken measures to deter thieves from stealing your doors, in which case it can take several days to get the old hinge bolts out!

Just slather the new one in grease and dirt and it will blend right in with the old one!!

I haven't put it on yet as I want to do the lower door seal at the same time so will take the door card off and do everything then. Just need to find the time.

Spraying was easy and it was the first time i've ever sprayed anything!

The paint can came with a fan nozzel so you get a nice even coat. I gave it two coats of everything just to be sure Laughing

I'll take a picture once its fitted as maybe it will look better lol.

Like Co1 said...I'll give it a good blast of lithium spray so it will blend in Rolling with laughter

I do think the metallic particles come out more dense from a rattle can than a proper sprayer making it look slightly different. Mine is Orkney grey and my rattle canned hinges look slightly darker.
