Why do people think it is cool to drape a rope round the front bumper? I've never understood why you'd do that.

Apart from the rope it's a.tidy vehicle, nice!

I feel exactly the same, then I have to check myself and think it’s a free world and it obviously makes them happy.

However, I know that seeing it in person, my immediate instinctive reaction will be to roll my eyes.

Agree, it is their choice! I was not saying they shouldn't, just that I can't understand why they would want to (it's a great way to ruin a rope apart from anything).

I guess it's like having a mullet or wearing a baseball cap sideways, equally incomprehensible but many folk still do it! Rolling with laughter

I assumed it was 'speed' thing. No sooner have you put the rope way after being towed you've broken down again and putting the rope back on the tow point / bumper - so it's quicker just to leave it in place awaiting the next mechanical?

Good, thanks Eddie. Maybe not quite as busy but I was there quite early and wasn't able to stay too long, but as always I love the really big old (Edwardian, I think) cars and the 'specials', especially those that are unrestored for all those years.

There was even Swiss registered Puma 110 in the paddock car park.

Plenty more pics if anyone's interested

Great pictures...I will have to go along next year for sure Very Happy

A lot of those cars are driven to the event, or go out for "jollies" in the evenings on the local roads, quite a surprise to see 'em on the road, and of course they sound fantastic Very Happy

I usually keep an eye on the Prescott calendar... That one has slipped through my net, a new event for this year I reckon...
Another new event is Rally day.... Into the evening hill runs in the dark 👍🏻👍🏻
