Save for an LS3, If I could I would have DT Engine Solutions do it.

Likewise - as lovely as the Rover V8 is, it is very old technology to put in a Puma and the cost of having one built to a good standard puts you into a LS3 crate area which is far more impressive.

There's nothing wrong with old technology - the LS isn't exactly a cutting edge multi-valve, overhead camshaft design either!
What about the 5 cylinder Ford diesel though NorthernDefender90 or a BMW M57 swap? Unless you were doing it just for the sound I would have thought a more power diesel would be a better choice? 2005 Td5 90 XS 1989 V8 110 CSW |

I have the 4.6, although it’s been faultless, i do wish i’d have gone for an LS… having driven all of the DT Engine’s LS converted Defenders, they’re worlds apart.
