Can't see much work being done today. All that heat in a confined workshop shop and no breeze...Keep your arms tight to your sides please!
Makes you realise how brilliant flaps on Land Rovers were. Let the green brigade use their air conditioning while we can use our flaps. As green as you can get Thumbs Up 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I took the wife’s Velar out yesterday to run some errands and to top it up before heading home.

It felt odd to drive, as if it was under steering. I thought that the tarmac was softening up. On the way back I flicked through the driver information screen to the tyre pressures.

The drivers side (UK) that was facing the sun was at 40 psi and the opposite side tyres we at 38 psi instead of 34 psi all round….. Shocked

Interestingly the tpms never said that the tyres were above the ‘Light Setting’.

Anyway, all change tomorrow, I am sure the UK press will then stop panicking.

We're currently at 38 and it's forecast for 41 by 17.00h. We are under house arrest to stay cool and the horses and donkeys are in their stables. Stupid dog still wants to go outside - you know what they say about dogs and mad Englishmen. Defender 90XS SW

Sorry to hear that, Spudfan. It always amazes me that the weather a little bit further west can be so different.

The heat has been a very dry heat (unlike the usual humid heat we seem to get) so it has not been too different to being on holiday abroad - well except I had to go to work and the beer is a lot more expensive Rolling with laughter

It is not only west of you but north and west of every where else in this little country! Tomorrow the temperature is forecast to be from 15 degrees C to 21 degrees C. Guess where the high of 15 degrees C will be. Yep right over my back yard. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Yes, you are correct. You are that bit further north.

I can’t remember what 15 deg C feels like but I guess I won’t have to wait too long for the experience. When it starts raining, I’m guessing it won’t know when to stop Rolling with laughter

lucky you, the company i work for, issued us with 3 extra 10 min breaks and one TL went over to asda and bought the full factory ice cream, Just to help cool everyone down. Not sure if the schools were finished early, the roads were a lot more quieter than normal. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

my parents are on holiday in Ayr, my mam messaged me about the weather etc. Next thing i got a message saying it was belting it down with thunder and lighting. So that must have moved over to them. We got nothing in the north east, Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I came down with COVID last week, fever and all. There was an upside to it, though: I lost all sense of taste and smell, so it didn't bother me that I had not taken a shower in 4 days... Rolling with laughter Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000
