Puma 2.4 Defender 110 Keyless Start / Start button

Wondering if anyone has converted or experience of fitting a keyless start button in place of the ignition barrel on a defender.

I regularly drive 110 - 2010 year model which has the usual remote to lock and unlock and requires you to insert the key in the ignition and turn it to start.

Got me round to wondering if there is any way to replace the ignition barrel with a start button coupled to the remote keyfob and combine them together? similar to what you see on most modern cars?

Any thoughts or ideas?

Still need to sort out the immobiliser and steering lock.

2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green

Apart from adding another security risk (google kessy theft), it‘s probably the steering lock that would make it impossible. Although a very simple feature for the user, the safety logic behind it is rather complex. You want to make sure it wont lock while driving, ever. I doubt anyone would retrofit it, if at all possible.
