EML light
Recently the Engine Management Light came on. The dealer advised to call LR Assist for a diagnosis as they couldn’t book it in for 2 weeks. Arrived this morning and it seems the oxygen sensor is faulty.
At the same time the car required an engine software update, as on the mild hybrid diesels (mine is an Aug 21 300d ) the car starts on the alternator but this puts too much pressure on an auxiliary belt causing it to become noisy. Instead the update results in the car taking more power from the starter motor.
However, a by product of the update is that instead of 7000 miles to go before it’s first service (it’s on 14000 miles), it now requires an immediate service. I was hoping to avoid this before the replacement 110 arrives in Jan … theoretically.
