CAT N car purchase

Hi guys has anyone had experience of buying cat N light damage cars I’m need a second car for work so not bothered about resell prices.
Are the insurance premiums that much higher be good to hear any advice or experience’s from others cheers Chris

I bought a CAT S Volvo and was worried about the insurance premiums.

Was amazed to find that most insurers didnt care nor add anything on to the premium. As long as it was MOTd they were happy. Obviously if it were written off again the payout would be reduced

I was at one point looking to do this, the advice I had was to have the vehicle looked over by the AA/RAC/DEKRA for a independant assessment and to see the reciept of parts used to do the repair. Zaid-M
